FOREWORD

‘Fair play’ stands as a key emphasis within the modus operandi of the Bermuda Football Association (BFA) as well does the promotion of the collaborative, concept of ‘Community through Sport’, where disagreements, systemic differences and destructive tendencies can be thrust aside in favour of collective enjoyment, positive effort and dynamic thrust brought about by wholesome competition.

It is that the often ruggedly artistic game that is football contains and so offers and brings into practice many of the needed physical, mental and leadership skills and concepts required to succeed in life and so it is that we at Sport Bermuda Magazine offer this special Souvenir Football Edition in support of the game that continues to enrapture billions of people, in all walks and persuasion, worldwide.

We are keenly indebted and thankful to the BFA for its diligent administration of the game, the affiliate member institutions, our supportive private, corporate and public partners, fans and readers as we relate what we hope is enjoyable, intriguing, informative content that stirs emotive camaraderie.

As society traverses significantly challenging moments of its very existence brought on by a disruptive foe that is the Covid-19 and many of us resolutely strive toward greater levels of normalcy sport stands as a binding agent for the continued resilience and drive toward further growth and earn success by the entire Bermuda community.
